This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of community members in producing herbal cosmetics from natural ingredients as an effort to promote economic empowerment. The activity was conducted in Curug Village, Curug District, Serang City, Banten Province, using a combination of educational sessions, practical training, and pretest and posttest evaluations. A total of 38 participants, predominantly housewives, took part in the activity. The training covered cosmetic safety education, the risks associated with hazardous chemical ingredients, and practical training in producing herbal cosmetics according to the prescribed formulations. The evaluation results showed an improvement in the participants’ knowledge levels, with the proportion of participants in the high-knowledge category increasing from 34 (89.5%) in the pretest to 37 (97.4%) in the posttest, while the low-knowledge category decreased from 1 (2.6%) to 0 (0%). The activity was effective in improving participants’ understanding and skills and has the potential to encourage entrepreneurship based on herbal products. However, understanding of legal requirements and marketing authorization remains an area that needs to be strengthened through further assistance.
